You were running as fast as you could, your high top clad feet slapping the concrete with every step you ran, your cheeks slightly flushed and a smile playing on your lips. You weren't exactly the best runner, which is why your legs cried out for a break and your lungs felt ready to explode, but at the moment you didn't really care; you were too excited to care about anything else at the moment.
You had just recieved a call from you best friend and secret crush, Arther Kirkland, inviting you over for afternoon tea. Now you would admit, he did sound a bit strange on the phone. His voice was sweet, almost to the point where it was sickening, and he sounded happy, which was weird, since Arther was never happy. But you'd decided to look past it and accept his invitation; that was your first mistake.
You finally decided to show mercy on your burning legs, slowing your pace to a casual walk, even though you wanted nothing more than to keep running at full speed. You knocked lightly on the wooden door, shifting your weight as you impatiently waited. You heard steps approach the door and it swung open.
As you took a good look at the country in front of you, you had to stiffle a laugh. It was Arther, but he looked a little........Well, different to say the least. He wore brown pants and a pink vest. His hair was strawberry blond and his eyes, normally a beautiful shade of green, were blue with pink tints. But the scariest part was that he was smiling. Smiling!
"Hello, love!" He said cheerfully.
"H-Hello." You breathed, your eyes as wide as a child's on christmas. You still couldn't believe it was him. "Are......Are you alright?"
"Never been better, love!" You didn't really believe him, but you decided to leave well enough alone for now. You hesitantly stepped inside and the smell of cupcakes hit your nose like a brick. Cupcakes? You thought Arther had a preferance for scones. This visit was just getting weirder and weirder.
A soft ding came from the kitchen, causing you to jump. "Ah! The cupcakes are done!" Arther exclaimed cheerfully, hurrying to the kitchen.
You hesitantly followed, more than a little weirderd out at this point.
You took a seat at the table and examined the plates in front of you: a cup of tea and a chine plate with a beautifully iced cupcake. He sat down and looked at you expectadly, clearly waiting for you to eat. With a sigh, you lifted the cupcake to your lips and took a bite, waiting for the disgusting taste. To your suprise, it never came; the cupcake's flavor seemed to explode on your tounge.
"This is really good!" That was an understatement; it was probably the best cupcake you'd ever had. It wasn't enough, however, to make you forget the question you had to ask. "Hey, Arth-."
"Please, call me Artie." He interupted, flashing you another smile.
"Artie, then. Are you sure you're alright?" You had to admit, you were worried about him. "You've been acting really out of character."
Artie flashed you another smile, but it seemed more sinister than the first."Well, that's a funny story, love." His smile darkened. "You see, I'm not exactly the Arther you know."
Before you could ask what he meant, a wave of exhaustion hit you. "Wha.......?"
The last thing you saw was his sinister smile before you blacked out.
You woke up slowly, blinking. You tried to sit up, but your wrists were tied to the bed. A bed? What was going on?
"Ah, you're awake, love!"
You looked at the speaker. It was Artie, but he seemed much more frightening now with a blood drenched knife in his hands and a crazed look in his eyes. Wait.......who's blood was that? "Artie." You said slowly. "What's going on?"
"That's a fun story, love." He replied, sitting next to you. "You see, Arther and I had this lovely chat. He told me quite a bit about you, love." He smiled. "He was fun to talk to. It's almost a shame I killed him." This man was clearly insane!
You desperatly tried to escape your bonds. Artie laughed at your attempt. "Nice try, love." In a flash, he had you pinned and his mouth crushed against yours. His tounge slipped into your mouth, hungrily tasting you. You squeezed your eyes shut, silently hoping that this was all just a dream.
He slowly pulled away, an insane smile gracing his features as he cut your cheek with his knife. You winced when you felt him lap at the blood. He moved his mouth over to your ear.
"Now then, love. Let's have some fun, shall we?"
